From September 23 to 27, our school embarked on an inspiring journey during Spiritual Emphasis Week, themed "Scuba Diving into Friendship with God." This unique event aimed to deepen students' understanding of their spiritual relationships while emphasizing the importance of valuing connections with parents, teachers, and peers.
The theme of scuba diving served as a metaphor for exploring the depths of friendship with God and others. Throughout the week, students engaged in a variety of activities designed to help them reflect on their spiritual journeys and the relationships that shape
their lives. Each day was filled with lessons, discussions, and creative projects that encouraged children to dive deeper into their friendships with God, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
The goal of Spiritual Emphasis Week was to help students appreciate the significance of nurturing their relationships with parents, teachers, and fellow students. By exploring their friendship with God, children were encouraged to understand how this relationship can positively impact their interactions with others. The teachers facilitated discussions that highlighted the importance of love, respect, and empathy in building strong connections.
Daily activities included interactive workshops, group discussions, and reflection time, where students shared their thoughts and feelings about their relationships. The engaging sessions allowed children to express gratitude for the support they receive from their parents and teachers while encouraging them to extend kindness and understanding to their peers.
As part of the week’s culmination, a special assembly was held, where students shared their insights and commitments to deepening their friendships with God and those around them. The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as children expressed their newfound appreciation for the connections in their lives.
Spiritual Emphasis Week: "Scuba Diving into Friendship with God" was a resounding success, providing students with valuable lessons about the importance of relationships in their spiritual growth. We are grateful for the opportunity to guide our students in recognizing and valuing the essential connections in their lives.
As we look forward, we remain committed to nurturing these relationships and fostering a supportive and loving environment where our students can continue to grow spiritually and emotionally. Together, we will dive deeper into the treasures of friendship with God and one another!
