Tradition Shines Bright: Middle and high school celebrate Loy Krathong at UAIMS Auditorium

Updated: Apr 11

Middle and high school students at UAIMS gathered in the school auditorium to celebrate the beauty and meaning of Thai culture during this year’s Loy Krathong ceremony. The event was a graceful and meaningful tribute to one of Thailand’s most cherished festivals, bringing together tradition, unity, and creativity in a truly memorable way.

The auditorium was transformed into a serene space filled with soft lighting, traditional music, and colorful decorations, creating an atmosphere of respect and celebration.

A highlight of the event was the elegant Thai dance performances by middle and high school students, who took the stage in traditional attire and performed with poise and confidence. Their graceful movements and dedication left the audience in awe and brought the rich beauty of Thai culture to life.

“Loy Krathong is a chance for students to deepen their understanding of Thai heritage and express themselves through culture,” said a teacher, who helped coordinate the event. “It’s wonderful to see students take pride in both their creativity and cultural roots.”

The Loy Krathong ceremony at UAIMS was more than just an event—it was a reminder of the importance of honoring traditions, sharing cultural experiences, and coming together as a school community.
