On Sunday, the school was filled with rhythm, rhyme, and heartfelt expression as students and teachers came together to celebrate Poetry Day—a special event dedicated to the beauty and power of words.
Held in the school auditorium, the event showcased creativity across all grade levels. From sweet and simple rhymes by our youngest poets to thought-provoking verses by older students, the day was a true celebration of imagination, language, and self-expression.
The morning began with a warm welcome from the English Department, followed by a series of performances that brought the audience to both laughter and reflection. Some students chose to recite their favorite classic poems, while others bravely stepped up to the mic to share their own original work—many for the very first time.
“It takes a lot of courage to share something so personal,” said a teacher, one of the event organizers. “Poetry Day isn’t just about writing—it’s about giving students a voice, and the freedom to express their thoughts, feelings, and dreams.”
Parents and classmates filled the room with support, applauding every poem, no matter how short or serious. A special highlight of the day was the “Poet’s Corner,” where selected poems were put on display for everyone to read and enjoy throughout the week.
The event wrapped up with certificates of participation for all the students who performed, reminding them that their words truly matter.
Poetry Day was more than just a school event—it was a reminder of how language connects us, helps us understand one another, and gives even the quietest voices a chance to be heard.
